Atletico Madrid vs. FC Barcelona

This last saturday La Liga Santander brought us an espectacular game, featuring two of the best teams in La Liga. Barcelona played for first time in Atletico’s de Madrid new staduim ” Wanda Metropolitano”. Barcelona starting eleven was a bit different than the past games. Marc- Andre Ter Stegen as the goalie, the four center backs were Nelson Semedo, Gerard Pique, Samuel Umtiti and Jordi Alba. In the midfield there were Ivan Rakitic, Andres Iniesta, and Sergio Busquets. In the attacking trio there was Lionel Messi in the right wing, Luis Suarez was the main stricker, and Andre Gomes in the left wing. The game started with an early goal from Atletico de Madrid. Saul was the author of that fantastic goal that was a shot outside the box beating Barcelona goalkeeper. After a though game and exhausting game Luis Suarez scores a header that tied the game in the 82′ minute. The game ended 1-1, yet players knew that it was a though game and beating Atletico de Madrid in it’s stadium is very difficult. Barcelona coach said that he was happy of how they played and is satisffied with the results. This season Barcelona has not lost any game. As always there are some people that are not fully satisfied with the squad performance such as Andre Gomes. The fans in Barcelona do not like this player and prefer to see him very far from Barcelona, yet other players like Umtiti, Semedo and Sergi Roberto had a great game. With the recent injury of Ousmane Dembele, Barcelona has to rotate and find an effective substitute for him until he rejoins the squad and is fit to play again. Critics say that Barcelona have a problem in the right band that is very clear and that they need to adress this problem. It is clear that Barcelona misses Neymar Jr a lot because he was a threat along with Messi and Suarez and they could break any defense no matter how though they were.
